MATERA FICTION is a TV series monitoring platform which aims to raise awareness of the popular heroes and heroines, settings, plots and characters, themes and production trends most practiced in international fiction by meeting the professionals involved in the productions. On these and many other aspects, we aim, every year, to open a privileged and exclusive cultural window onto the world.
The first edition successfully took place in Matera from 1- 4 June 2023 at the Cinema Guerrieri,
with four days featuring a varied program divided into separate activities: screenings, award ceremonies, meetings, new exhibitions, and concerts. Monthly panels dedicated to the history of Italian fiction, "Fiction story", workshops and other promotional activities are also planned.
